Lexmark Sold for $2.54 Billion

The Wall Street Journal reported today that Lexmark is to be sold for $2.54 Billion.  Lexmark agreed to be bought by a group of investors that includes Apex Technology Co, a manufacturer of ink cartridge chips.  According to Lexmark’s press release, “Enterprise Software, as well as …, are expected to continue unaffected and benefit strategically and financially from the transaction.”  So business as usually for the latest Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for ECM.
